Of leg room so we are at the back we got the final two seats just over here oh it’s actually not bad Carolina we’ve even got Space by behind here if we wanted to put our bags it is an emergency exit but uh we

Have the toilet just behind us so that’s why people probably didn’t want to take this uh these seats but uh plenty of leg room I’ll show you guys so got a leg rest we have a cup holder I think yeah looks like a cup

Holder and then we’ve got a TV which I don’t think works maybe so there is a old feel to this bus it is a VIP bus but it’s spacious and it’s comfortable but I think when they say VIP bus a lot of the times in Asia it

Just means that you’re going to have extra leg room you’re going to have more comfy seats and also not so many people because the other side is only one seat that’s true actually there’s probably less people on the bus so not like the

VIP experience but uh just a comfortable bus that is is uh good for I think it’s around $9 per person for 3 to 4 hours of driving I think it’s not too bad at all and it gets fully booked so if you can book it online but there’s a little bit

Of a fee so that’s why we waited till the very end but we were the lucky ones today yeah like 12 go you can book it on you can we tried booking it directly on the website but it we kept on having issues with that and then 12 gr they add

A fee on top of it um plus it’s more expensive cuz they’re earning a commission so we came to the bus uh station and bought the tickets and we got lucky cuz we got the final two buses but last night it said the bus was

Pretty much empty yeah yeah yeah half of it was empty so so if you are one of the people who want to make sure they’ve got their seat on the bus then might be best just to pay a little bit more and book through one of the websites we have made

It to chying ride it took around 3 and 1 half hours on the bus the driver was riding like a maniac but that’s good for us because we only have 24 hours in chying ride you can see behind us we have these blue trucks the uh buses just

Parked up here we have so much transport option we have Rick Shaws we’ve got these kind of tiny little Vans here but we’ve organized with our friend here okay okay let’s go all right we’re going to the fur furthest one away so you can

See they got these little kind of pickup trucks we’re paying 100 THB all together so I think we can just literally climb on okay nice and spacious yeah so the bolt uh oh you’re stuck Karolina there you go the bolt was coming in at around 78 butt and he said 100 and he

Seemed pretty honest so we were just like yeah we’re just going to head on into it and I hear that these blue pickup trucks are the way to get around so what I like about the truck is that you can actually see right out the back

Of the uh the truck and actually we have the truck to ourselves so we got the bags down there and uh I thought maybe he was going to pick up some more passengers so for 100 bus for the entire truck personally taking us to our accommodation I think it’s worth

It and uh the locals seem very friendly here very honest the taxi drivers weren’t like hassling us they just said oh do you need a taxi and they weren’t offering like ridiculous Crazy Prices so I think in trying RI they can be very

Trustworthy you’re not going to have like the the Tuk Tuk drivers in uh Bangkok trying to charge you crazy tourist prices we can see it’s definitely a local Feld to chying ride not as built up as chying ma we can actually take you to this window over

Here show you how it looks like I’m just peeping outside of this uh this window but uh you can see there a lot more local and chilled out not as developed just peaceful best way to put it Cup on cup thank you thank you we have made it

To our accommodation we’re staying at the Siri Monta Hotel trying Rai hopefully we can do a room tour soon but I think we’re going to have to just leave our bags I think this is the reception area I think so

Pretty cool and uh we are actually wanting to get a motorbike but they didn’t have a motorbike uh in our accommodation they sold out and that’s a problem because the closest one that we can see on Google Maps is around 40

Minute walk into the center but I do like this pink it looks like a school we cross over and check this out got to be careful so we got a pink school just over here but uh we’re going to be doing a bit of walking I mean we’re in the bus

For such a long time so I don’t mind doing a bit of exercise but you got see this school all in pink the entire fence is pink and they’ve got a football pitch just over on the other side there um so

Yeah so we’re going to head into the city we are out in the rural area which means that if we want to get to the main attractions so there’s the blue Temple which is the temple we’re going to be going to today and trying some Delicious

Coconut ice cream that looks very instagrammable and then we’re going to be going tomorrow to the white temple cuz we don’t want to be just jump packing our day with just temples uh but we need a motorbike because the

Was in in Thailand also in Vietnam they have it um so we just want the beef soup which is called Nam and this looks like a very nice suggestion you can see I’ll give you a little bit of a tour around the place

Seem like a little bit of a mash pot of all kind of different things you got guitars up there he and uh different kind of ornaments and uh I think the Foods over here t cap this is a nam okay this Namo very beautiful we got the massive pot there where they’re

Cooking the um the beef noodle soup Namo is here Cup on cup cup so we have this beautiful soup here Carina you want to do the honors camera woman Carolina only thing is is I’m getting bit my like mosquitoes but um you see it’s a

Super rich very dark kind of broth here but you got pieces of beautiful it looks like uh pork actually so uh I think there is pieces of beef but there’s noodles actually at the bottom there it’s got spring

Onions smells super like kind of like a stew it’s almost like a stew more like like actual uh like uh new soup and you’ve got some tomato here and if you come in a little bit closer Carolina and you can see all of that there you can

See just the mil the meat and the noodles super freshing you see the steam coming off there I think the viewers can eat with their eyes now all right let’s dig in so Carolina is adding bean sprout there a fly on my camera go away flies

Uh but she’s adding uh bean sprouts to hers I’m just going to go straight for it and give this a go get some one of his noodles with the chopsticks M oh wow spicy very big kick there um I don’t

Know if food in the North or the South is spicier but this was a nice kick tastes very meaty it’s a very uh dark brown sauce so you can imagine it’s got a very kind of deep stew like um kind of flavors going

On similar to like a stew back home in England but just with chili M it’s very thick so like when I added bean sprouts and some lime on top like it brings this like kind of like a fresh flavor so really like the combination actually I’m

Glad they have this water cuz it’s it’s quite spicy mhm the thing is that you can adjust your spice afterwards but like the initial one this is so I showed you earlier in the kitchen they have it all pretty much kind of prepared already

Like they’ve made a massive pot just makes it easier for them to serve but this is a northern dish and it was recommended by the motorbik company and they were super sweet super genuine they said 300 the original place was 250 that

Was sold out but the service the people and Grandma C this is super nice but um she St our heart yeah exactly ah see there’s pieces of um you know what I think this actually is beef maybe it could be beef actually I think it’s it’s

More of a darker color and that makes sense with the color of the broth so probably it’s not even pork it just looks like pork really also like the kind of like the dried onion on the top like maybe it’s fried onion with the

Garlic it’s actually very spicy spicy but it went it went down the wrong pip very delicious though AR so as you can see I absolutely love that dish Jay wasn’t actually the biggest fan of it because he actually found this a little bit too meaty I

Actually love the flavors and it was a little bit spicy but obviously like we are in Thailand so everything will be a little bit spicy H you can see my lips even but we’ll be heading to the blue temper so we have paid up it costs 40 B

Each so 80 B in total and you can see in the entrance it’s almost like a tree house even when I went to the toilet they had a tree that was kind of like a massive like tree entwined into the toilet section and uh kolina absolutely

Loved her Namo yes and for me it was just too strong a bit too meaty and very spicy so you can see the dark rich brown broth it was very kind of meaty spicy and for me cow soy is my favorite Karina doesn’t like C soy as much no it’s like

Okay for you for me c soy is a winner for you this dish what is it called forgot Nam something namo yes all right we’re going to be heading over to the blue Temple we’re heading inside the blue Temple I don’t know if there’s

Going to be cost involved but it looks like it’s worth it the sun is doing a bad job of exposing this scene here but uh you can see from this side it’s very beautiful and actually uh there’s no kind of ticket point karolina is going

To be taking a 100 photos here to be sending home to the family yeah just a little bit H just a little bit I don’t like to spend too much time on just a thousand photos we’re going to head inside of the blue Temple you can see

This Magnificent Dragon at the entrance here very beautiful and you can see it’s kind of gold painted but all of it’s blue and now we’re going to head into the main Temple here you can see this is areas here for people to pray I think

Yes you can have some offerings with the flowers you can put the candles just over here and people are going to be praying and you can uh smell the uh the incense beautiful smell of incense let’s head on into the main area wow wow yeah

It’s stunning you see the design on the roof there super beautiful I just love how they’re combining uh blue and gold old here very very beautiful and it’s a lot of paintings on the walls and on the ceiling oh yeah you can see there’s

These paintings just along here but I I don’t know why but the ceiling for me just looks magical and then you’ve got the buter in the center which looks white it’s white but it’s got like I think maybe some blue LEDs that make it

Look blue cuz it’s you know it’s a blue Temple but uh I don’t know why but coming into some of these temples here in Thailand I think it’s the high ceilings yeah it’s super impressive but it just makes you feel very peaceful very

Peaceful I haven’t expected it but I’m looking for the coconut ice cream now I haven’t seen it but uh when you go on the reviews of this Temple you’ll see people raving about this coconut ice cream so I was surprised when we just walked in that there’s no ticket cost no ticket entry

Because uh it seems like the kind of place which could actually drive a lot of uh Revenue to put towards the upkeep of this Temple and it’s not just the main Temple here oh wow from this side this side yeah this is going

To look absolutely stunning you can see over here guys you’ve got the Buddha in silver so it stands out from the blue and the gold absolutely beautiful structure and we got a temple in this side as well we’re just trying something out randomly

There’s an entrance we have no idea what entirely we’re taking ourselves to but it’s taking us higher so I think there might be a nice view of the main blue Temple and there definitely is this blue Temple is definitely nothing like I’ve ever seen before okay

This is nice so you can see this is the main Temple here we have an entrance point just over here but actually we came from that side not only do you have a very nice viewpoint but actually you can have a little kind of tour through

Here which uh this man is dressed very interesting s cup so you can see there’s a tiger and uh I wasn’t too sure about going in here but you can see this is the blue Temple it’s like the whole complex

So you can see this is the main Temple we came through the entrance here and we walked through there and then we walked around and came around here for the picture yes cuz there’s a very nice picture spot here and now I think we are

In here yeah we’re inside of here and so there is a lot of different shops here and this one I don’t know I have no idea but this uh area here is where I think the coconut ice cream is going to be all right guys it is coconut ice cream time

And I was right along here you can actually find the coconut ice cream so we’re going to be coming to our our lady here she smiled and she was very wholesome ah sweaty cup okay we have uh this one just

One so the coconut ice cream is just here yeah all right make ah yes there’s some blue o blue sticky rice and peanuts yes okay she’s so sweet so aroy aroy MC aroy m and then there’s uh she’s got the coconut ice cream here which has coconut ice

Hands all right I’m going to get some of that sticky rice as well I’m going right into the heart of it perfect got some sprinkles just like that you want the disappointed kind of sweet coconut flavor of the ice cream and then you have like the the texture of chewy rice

Mhm even that has its own flavor but I think it soaks up the the coconut ice cream as it melts but they’re very thick I like it mhm and the peanuts so I’ll give you a little bit of a get some of the peanuts just there these are the

Motorbike to Som s somet Park somet Y Park it’s not a very popular tourist thing to do it’s more the locals come here it’s very nice you kind of walk through a lake at the entrance and you come through here and the sun is coming

Down so we wanted a good Sunset Point and we don’t really want to go to like a few of the other tourist attractions cuz the reviews are a bit iffy and so I prefer to spend my time actually getting to experience the real kind of pace the

Real environment and this feels very nice um you can see as we walk through here very beautiful and actually we’re going to be coming to a lake because the sun’s coming down we always want a nice peaceful spot for Sunset so we’ve done a

Bit of research and it’s taking us to some Y Park perfect there we go sometimes we have to film these like five times over cuz I just make a mistake but sometimes a natural kind of mistake I think people like cuz we are

Human but uh I think we’re going to be coming to a very nice Lake it’s actually huge check this out guys super beautiful here we came from just over there we walked down and we can just walk along here and enjoy the lake views the mountains in the background the smell of fresh

Flowers hope you’re enjoying the the commentary but uh it’s very nice because a lot of times here in Southeast Asia we don’t get the chance to walk and so to get some fresh air as well the a lot of the cities are very polluted and you’re

In the morning you can see this man he actually lives over there he’s got some Garden space there but this kind of area here there little kind of jungle of vegetation is his garden so he’s got a bit of a garden space here which he’s

Tending to right now and you can see it is cloudier today it is a lot cooler today we’re expecting around 7 17 to 19 degrees which is uh pretty cool in comparison to yesterday which was like 25 to 30° super

Hot so we’re going to be heading to the white temple and also we’re going to be having my favorite Northern Thai Dish which is cow soy so it’s going to be interesting to compare that to the Namo that Carolina absolutely loved yesterday

As you can see guys there is a lot of tourists it is8 in the morning I was expecting it to be a little bit quieter considering we came earlier which pretty much opens at 8:00 a.m. you have to pay a entrance fee

So the blue Temple was free but this looks like you have to pay 100 BS so we have to enter through here all right there we go and we just over here so the C uh two people uh it’s 200 bu Bank of England is always ready to spend the money

Koifish in there and uh I think Carina something’s happening some other issues so basically if we are filming for the YouTube we would need to fill in the form to inform that we are using the temple oh so we have to fill them in the form now yes

Okay so should we go for the form out yeah we should do that now because we cannot do this on the way back that’s it first for me having to fill out a form to she didn’t say not to rec but she said that like every video or um

Pictures for commercial use like they need to fill in the ah but it’s not really commercial use it’s just YouTube all righty guys so that was a little bit of a strange experience I had to sign a contract to say that I was not going to

Be using this footage for commercial use they wanted to know the number of team members uh that I had so me and Carolina the platforms the camera equipment you’re using and I had to actually sign a few things to give my passport details

Over and so I don’t know feels weird entering a temple and having to do that because there’s so many people look how many people are taking photos they wanted to specify if you’re taking photos or videos but look everyone is

Taking photos and videos it’s just because I have a GoPro and I’m talking to the camera that uh yeah they want to protect themselves so it shows you how much of a commercial Venture this Temple is that’s why all the tourists are here

It’s a way of also generating revenue for them and if it wasn’t that then we wouldn’t have to sign like a contract to say that we can’t use the footage for commercial use but you YouTube it’s just a travel Vlog and they were fine with it

They said it’s travel Vlog absolutely fine but uh there is a lot of uh tus and you know that’s different notifications all the time they’re talking yeah like I walk backwards uh to to retake this clip actually and I think the guy on the

Speaker was like okay everyone walk in a one way exit behind but anyways this is the white temple it is absolutely beautiful you can see they’ve got hands just all coming out of the ground it’s kind of creepy but kind of cool at the

Same time it was actually designed by the artist and it shows kind of like the way to the enlightenment so it’s Purity and then you go to the temple quite nice did you gbt that yes she’s uh taking my tricks to kind of

Learn information it’s always nice to know like where you are in a certain place like what it’s all about mhm all right so let’s go through these crowd of people oh we have to wait for the pictures maybe oh yeah we have to wait

For the pictures to be honest guys it’s uh I get a little bit frustrated when I can’t just enjoy the temple and just walk around I mean I am recording but you know taking pictures we can’t actually move along through the temple until everyone’s taking their pictures which

Is I don’t know okay we can go now so we are well within this group oh okay go for it Carolina oh people are taking photos as well so even from that side but you can see these hands over here oh there’s even a pot with some money inside so you

There you’ve got the crowd of tourists just taking photos so you can’t walk around kind of freely and uh even here they’re saying no photos on the speaker and it’s just it’s quite distracting it’s not peaceful like I was honestly guys I was expecting to come like the blue Temple be able to

Just enjoy the peace and serty of the temple but it’s just first I had to sign a contract so you pay the entrance I had to sign the contract we can’t even move through the temple freely cuz of just people taking photos and then the speakers blaring one saying move in One Direction

And other people and then another one saying no photos or videos inside of this main Temple over here but it is beautiful I will give it that it is very beautiful you can see everything super white just like the blue Temple it’s

Um that’s the theme right there everything’s in white but uh are you liking this Temple more than the blue Temple or what what are you thinking from the the look of it like they’re both like uh very different because of

The colors and uh they’re both like equally beautiful but this one I think it’s like bigger and it’s like more ornamental but in terms of my feelings like it’s just it’s just obvious that here like people come for pictures and

Uh turnning around and it’s just yeah like like I can’t believe like it’s just so many people here yeah I mean you know uh temples in Thailand are very touristy and so personally I don’t really like going to all the temples just I find it

Can be a little bit frustrating um and I know we’re recording and it might sound hypocritical but we’re just talking and moving through the temple we’re not really getting in anyone’s way and uh but it’s actually quite nice over here

Let’s take a little look over here you can see the got this kind of grass area here also like uh tourists especially pay attention to the camera so a lot of people just stop and start watching you which can be off-putting but this is

Very beautiful here got a little kind of little stream running through the temple it feels much calmer as you’re going through the temple at the beginning it’s chaotic and like we want to be honest with you guys we don’t want

To like say oh it’s absolutely amazing like it’s the best thing we’ve done in our life we want to show you the reality of the temple because it is amazing but like the the reality is that it’s like crowded and it’s a lot

Of tourists like there there’s a lot of coaches approaching so it’s not as it’s a beauty I would say yeah but as we are moving through the temple it is getting quieter um but like you’ll see the Instagram photos and you’ll be like wo

Like that is so beautiful and then it’s not real it’s kind of little bit kind of um and that’s the purpose of the YouTube Vlog so you can actually get a real sense for the temple so we’ve actually come quite quickly to the end of the

Temple so we came from just there that’s where we were just filming the last clip and you just walk through here and then you exit so it is uh not super big but there is something outside so if you exit through here you do have an area

Outside that has features of the white temple but it’s actually quite nice out here you got these kind of flowers I like these kind of hanging flower baskets you got a big Bell just over here let’s check this out Carolina this looks really

Cool so you can see just through here you’ve got this golden kind of arch with a big Bell in the middle that’s connected to the this is so beautiful so cool there’s water yeah it’s water just there and then over here actually I feel so much more

Happier outside of the temple I know that sounds crazy but uh it’s obviously all kind of like man-made but this is like a little kind of cave with a water stream we’ll take you a little bit closer to the action we have some monks coming through to the entrance

Over here you can see on the face of the rock they have a like a monkey a monkey in the the face of it very cool ah the tickets are cave of art so there another uh kind of little I think there’s another entrance Carolina

Um the cave of AR I think they have oh it’s another separate ticket okay so you have this kind of beautiful Rock feature for the the water and you can go into the cave of art but you do it looks like you need a

Ticket so the ticket we bought earlier I’m pretty sure doesn’t I mean they’ve taken they’ve taken the ticket from us so yeah I have the tiet but it covers only the temple I would say okay so now they might create something like around

This for the tourists potentially it’s it’s a really uh commercial um kind of uh Temple I would say I’m just being honest but the contract I signed I didn’t have time to read the entire contract to be honest it was just she was just just sign here write this here and so

Hopefully you know what we’re saying here isn’t going to like hold us liable for anything but that’s what I mean like we had to sign a contract before we entered and all I’m doing is carrying a GoPro like loads of people are walking

Around with phones taking videos and they could be using it for whatever but they wouldn’t have signed a contract so I don’t know kind kind of put me I’ll be honest it kind of put me off before entering the temple like you’d never

Think that so this is the view of the white temple from the outside once you leave you can’t go back in it’s a one way you’re literally starting from just over there where we got stuck and then basically you just go

All the way along and then you end up outside of here but doesn’t take too long but truthfully I was expecting a better experience the blue Temple for me is the winner I mean is how I personally feel for me I’m actually a bit

Disappointing because it’s not only about to be negative about the place but you come here to actually feel the good energy to actually immerse into the temple whereas like you just can see people taking pictures running around being distracted with the notifications like on the speakers it’s not what I

Came here for you know like it’s beautiful but it lost its beauty for me it lost the beauty for me when I had to sign a contract walking into the temple like we’re going to be honest with you guys we we want to be true to ourselves

And be true to you some people are not going to like what we say some people are going to like what we say because at the end of the day the travel Vlogs are showing you exactly what the experience is anyways I am ready for some cow soy

So this is the entrance to the temple you can hear the speaker again blaring off but we exit through here and literally our cow soy place is just over here so let’s head on inside you can actually see here recommended on restaurant gurus 2023 this is the caloy it looks so good

There they’re keeping it all maintained but if you want to come to the cow soy place it’s literally just over there right opposite the temple I think I mentioned that already but bye-bye White Temple we have a little bit of a dilemma guys we have our massive backpacks look at Carolina looking super
