Staying at Amazing Japanese Onsen Ryokan, Kagaya Bettei Matsunomidori

Welcome to Japan’s onsen ryokan “Kagaya Bettei Matsunomidori (加賀屋別邸 松乃碧)” Inside the ryokan. The Japanese-style room. Facilities such as a large public bath. Dinner and breakfast. Please enjoy the trip. Let’s sstart from Wakura Onsen Station, which is the closest station to the ryokan.

“Kagaya” is ranked number 1 in the ranking of onsen ryokans in Japan. Kagaya Bettei Matsunomidori which we will be going to, opened in October 2015 and is a higher-ranked ryokan than Kagaya. There is a shuttle bus to the ryokan, and we will arrive at the ryokan in less than 10 minutes.

“Kagaya Bettei Matsunomidori” is a ryokan located in Wakura Onsen, Ishikawa Prefecture. Arrived at the ryokan. That is the entrance to the ryokan. It has a nice atmosphere from the walkway. It is not only a ryokan but also an art museum. There is a guide to the museum. This is the entrance.

Works are displayed on the left and right. When we enter the ryokan, we will see many works of art. It’s a red bowl. Local crafts such as Wajima lacquerware and Kutani ware are displayed here and there. The front desk is on the right. Ring. The ring is represented by many bowls.

This is a portrait of Mr. Isaburo Kaku. This is Mr. Isaburo Kado’s profile. Lacquerware artist born in 1940 in Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Again, this is the front. There are wooden works. It is said to be a tea room connected to the Maeda family, built at the end of the Edo period. It seems that it has a history of 150 years. A coffered ceiling with a sword plum bowl crest and a phoenix. I’ll have some tea sweets.

In addition to porridge, there is also white rice, so it is very filling. Morning fish. It’s clay pot rice. Fruits. After dinner, relax in the lounge. The seats in the back have a nice view of the garden in front. Manju and mille crepe. Honey lemon squash.

There seem to be several types of pine. I will walk to Kagaya. There is a port on the way. It is about a 5 minute walk from Matsunomidori to Kagaya. This ryokan is regularly ranked #1 in Japanese ryokans selected by professionals.

It was ranked #1 based on overall consideration of hospitality and in-ryokan facilities. It is located in a nice atmosphere by the sea. There is a large lounge. There are souvenir shops next to it. Matsunomidori doesn’t have a lot of sweets souvenirs, but Kagaya has a lot of sweets souvenirs. Kagaya also sells crafts.

There is a shop called Hanameri. There are crafts similar to Matsuno Aoi. It’s also entertaining, with a portrait corner. There will be a kaleidoscope workshop. After passing through the souvenir corner, we will reach the zone where the guest rooms are located. It’s a great atmosphere.

In terms of prices, Matsunomidori is a slightly more expensive than Kagaya. I will buy the Kagaya’s original product and go home. I used a gift certificate here. This is a Kagaya bag. I bought sweets such as steamed buns. Check out is at 11am. It was a very nice ryokan.

Reviews on Google are also very good. Check out at the lounge. At the end, I received candy. The accommodation costs at least 90,000 yen (620 USD) for two people. There is a free shuttle to Wakura Onsen Station.
