スペーシアベースに二人。道の駅で車中泊!食のテーマパークの道の駅をのぞいてみる。一泊二日で行く山梨から静岡観光。
Hello, we are YUMENOKABAN. We are a couple who have been traveling around Japan by a kei car since May 2023. We started from Toyama Prefecture and toured all 13 prefectures up to Iwate Prefecture, but we are currently suspending our journey and are preparing to start again around March 2024.
Until then, we will share how we are staying in the car and sightseeing on day trips. It’s currently 11:30 p.m., and we’re driving along a national highway in the mountains of Yamanashi Prefecture, headed for today’s overnight spot. We have arrived at “Roadside Station Nanbu” in Nanbu Town, Yamanashi Prefecture.
When we inquired in advance, told that it is possible to sleep in the car at this roadside station. We’ve finished our dinner and bath, so We’re going to roll out my bed and get some rest. The next morning, the weather was unfortunately cloudy.
It’s early in the morning, so there aren’t many cars yet. Good morning🌤 Hiro-kun:…It’s cold. Kocchan: Hmm. Kocchan: …I’m sleepy. Hiro-kun: Shall we clean it up? Kocchan: Yeah. It was so cold that neither of us got much sleep 😅 We need to do something to prepare for sleeping in the car in winter.
The roadside station shop opens at 9am, so we’ll get ready before then. Hiro-kun was the first to return. Hiro-kun: Well…let’s do it. He’ll clean up the mattress while Ko-chan is gone. It’s cold and he doesn’t want to go outside, so gradually changing places in the car and trying to clean up.
It’s easier to move around alone(lol) Here, Kocchan joins. The restroom at Michi-no-Eki Nanbu is equipped with a powder room, so you can use it and get ready comfortably. We’re removing the sunshade. As with rainy days, when the temperature drops, there is a lot of condensation on the window glass, so
Wiping it with a towel is essential. Put the seat back and put it in driving mode. Cleaning up completed. It’s 9 o’clock, so we’re going to take a walk around the roadside station. As the opening time approached, the parking lot filled up rapidly and was nearly full. This “Roadside Station Nanbu”
Is a gourmet spot with the theme of the specialty Nanbu tea, which is also called a food theme park.✨ Kocchan : Oh, at this time of year (currently mid-November)? Kocchan: That’s amazing! ! Corn is sold. Hiro-kun: Wow!1134 yen for 3 pieces. A morning market was held in the central plaza, and
Many fresh local vegetables were on sale, including corn, which is rare at this time of year, and giant Chinese cabbages that cannot be found in supermarkets. In addition to vegetables, there were also persimmons that looked delicious. Hiro-kun: Wow! That’s a huge persimmon. Hiro-kun: This is a normal size. Kocchan: That’s true.
Kocchan: A fine radish. It’s cheap! Enter the shop inside the store. It’s a great souvenir, of course, but there are pots of more than 5 types of soup stock that you can taste with smaoll paper cups. Hiro-kun: Ah! delicious. Kocchan: Yeah! The soup stock is effective and delicious. Kocchan: It warms me.
Kocchan: It says “Please try it.” Kocchan: One? completely? You can taste a whole kamaboko. “Roadside Station Nanbu” is generous😲 Kocchan: It’s delicious. It’s full of cheese. There was also a wide selection of side dishes, including rice balls, bento boxes, fried chicken, and assorted tempura. At the back is the “Nanbu Kishicha Shokudo”
Where you can enjoy a menu made with local products. The menu looked delicious, such as tea soba, ramen, and seafood bowl , but we decided not to go because the store opens at 10am💦 So left the shop and went to Lawson next door.
In the end, we decided to buy breakfast at Lawson (lol) and returned to the roadside station. In front of the shop mentioned earlier, there was a multipurpose room that you could use freely. There was a microwave, so allowed to use it. There is also a tea machine so
You can take a relaxing break. It’s nice to have a space where you can spend time indoors even on rainy or cold days. Even the food usually eat tastes fresh in a different location (^▽^) After enjoying the roadside station, Headed to Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
Kocchan is in charge of driving during the day and on easy roads, while Hirokun is in charge of driving at night and on complicated roads around town. We drove for about 45 minutes and entered Fujinomiya City. Kocchan: Oh! There is parking. Hiro-kun: Shall we come in? Kocchan: Yeah.
Kocchan: Good. The car nabivation guided me to the parking lot, it’s good. There is a huge torii gate in the middle of the city, and an inverted cone-shaped building with a wooden latticework, representing “upside down Fuji,” welcomes you. We visited the Shizuoka Prefecture Mt. Fuji Heritage Center. Go inside.
There were many Mt. Fuji goods for sale on the first floor. Although we weren’t able to take any photos, the inside of the building has a slope-like shape, and as you go around the gentle slope,
You can experience a simulated experience of climbing Mt. Fuji, watching videos of the scenery of Mt. Fuji changing as you go up the slope. Came to the roof of the building. There is an observation hall that overlooks the city of Fujinomiya, and
On a clear day, you can see Mt. Fuji beautifully from here. We couldn’t see it that day… want to get revenge again. Next, went to the nearby Omiya Yokocho to have lunch. It is about a 5-minute walk from the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Center, and there are several restaurants lined up,
Including one that serves Fujinomiya Yakisoba, Fujinomiya’s famous gourmet food. We chose the half and half yakisoba so you can compare the salty and sauce flavors. Kocchan: How about some oden? Kocchan: Choose what you like, Kocchan: Assortment of 6 items, Kocchan: Is the platter better value? Hiro-kun: That’s right. Shall we have an assortment?
A great value platter with 6 ingredients. Hot oden simmered in soy sauce stock is topped with plenty of green seaweed and dashi powder. Hiro-kun: That’s amazing. Now you can add water. In the center is a well with spring water from Mt. Fuji, and
You can drink it freely using paper cups you can get at the store. This spring water contains a lot of vanadium, which is expected to have the effect of controlling blood sugar levels, and the taste was mellow and sweet. Is it just my imagination…? (lol)
We warmed up with warm yakisoba and oden and enjoyed Shizuoka gourmet food! Kocchan: Let’s eat while it’s hot. Thank you for watching our videp until the end! Our journey continues. We would be happy if you could support me. Let’s meet again on the next trip (^▽^), form Hiro-kun and Kocchan.
