【ベトナム旅行】国内線LCC比較～ベトジェット・ベトトラベル｜遅延・荷物・

Hello~ I’m Miyu, traveling in Vietnam☺ This video is about comparing 2 domestic LCC airlines in Vietnam, so I’m going to take a domestic flight called VietJetAir and VietTravel Airline and tell you about check-in and the inside of the plane! First, to board VietJetAir

I will head to Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Before my flight, I came to buy banh mi, which is rumored to be the most popular in Hanoi. After buying banh mi, I’m heading to the airport taking about 40 minutes using an Uber-like app called Grab.

You can also take a local bus to the airport. According to Google Maps, it is possible to get there for 35,000 dong ≒ 200 yen, but if you take a local bus, it will take about 1 hour and 40 minutes from the center of Hanoi… Bus takes 1 hour longer than Grab, so

I will go quickly with Grab! We arrived at Noi Bai International Airport! I will now head to the VietJetAir check-in counter and check in. My flight is at 13:30 and I arrived early, so I haven’t seen it on the electronic bulletin board yet, but I’ll go to the VietJetAir counter anyway!

I thought it was still early, but I was able to check in and received my ticket. At check-in, I showed my flight reservation number and passport and was able to check in smoothly. It’s quite early, but I don’t have anything special to do, so I go through the security checkpoint.

I was able to pass through the security checkpoint, so I’m heading to the boarding gate. When I told the VietJetAir guy that I’m going to Da Nang, he knew the boarding gate, so maybe the boarding gate for Da Nang is the same every time.

The boarding gate this time is number 12, which is right in front of me. That’s it. It is about 3 minutes away from the security checkpoint. The other day when I boarded a plane from Ho Chi Minh City, the boarding gate had changed,

So I came to check to see if the boarding gate had changed, and it turned out that the boarding gate has not changed, but there is a delay. Currently 13:37. Boarding finally started about 30 minutes after the scheduled departure time! We arrived at Da Nang airport!

Da Nang is a resort area, and the tree I glimpsed earlier has a tropical vibe, so I’m excited😆 It was scheduled to arrive at 14:20, but it’s now 15:40. We arrived about 1 hour and 20 minutes late. Since I don’t have any baggage checked-in, I’m going to enjoy Da Nang right away –

I arrived at the domestic terminal of Da Nang International Airport! Next, we will take the second flight from Da Nang to Hanoi. This time it’s VietTravel Airlines. This airline started operating in 2021. I’m a little worried as there aren’t many reviews online about how to check in,

But I will check in at the Viet Travel counter next to the VietJet counter. It won’t open 😵 Will this one open? Surprisingly, we can’t get into Da Nang Airport… When we arrived, we came out of this area.

The place where I was dropped off by Grab Bike earlier was on the 1st floor, and the 1st floor is the arrival floor, so if you’re boarding a plane, you’ll probably enter from the departure floor above. Opened! Entered! I’m boarding Viettravel Airlines for Hanoi at 20:20.

I think 17-20 is the check-in counter number, so I’m heading over there. There aren’t many reviews online, so I came early to see it for myself, and it was 3 hours before takeoff, so the check-in counter wasn’t open. I was able to check in online and receive my boarding pass via email,

So I’m proceeding to the security checkpoint. It’s still 2 hours before departure, but I’m already at the boarding gate and another flight is displayed at the boarding gate. I’ll wait a little longer and board. This time I checked in online, but if you wish to check in at the check-in counter,

You can do so by going to the counter 2 hours to 40 minutes before takeoff. Regarding carry-on baggage. If no additional weight is added, carry-on baggage is limited to 7kg. Since I checked in online, I didn’t have to check my weight until now. I’m a little worried whether it’s within 7kg 🤔

I’m worried about being charged an additional fee at the boarding gate… I arrived at Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport ~ The plane arrived at the scheduled time of 21:40, and then I got on the bus, so now 21:56. I think I’ll be able to leave 15 minutes after the scheduled time.

It looks like my checked baggage is already on the conveyor belt. I haven’t checked my baggage, so I’ll just head out. So, about the comparison of domestic LCCs! As for the aircraft, both the seat size and the cleanliness of the toilet were the same.

Both are low-cost flights, so there are no charging ports or entertainment. Neither of the in-flight meals will be provided free of charge. However, Viet Travel provided free drinking water.

Regarding baggage, VIetTravel allows up to 7kg, while VIetjet allows up to 7kg (+3kg). However, depending on the source, whether 3kg is included in 7kg or not differs. There is no additional charge if you fit the weight up to 7kg.

It may have been a coincidence, but the weight of my luggage was not checked. However, I think it’s better to keep it within 7kg. Now I talk about the differences between the two companies. Perhaps because VietTravel is new, having been established in 2020, I felt that the greetings and thank yous were polite.

Also, the seats were empty, so I wonder if I was able to move if I asked. Vietjet is often about an hour late.

I guess it’s not like it’s late 100%, but so far on this trip it’s delayed 2 out of 2 times, and on my last trip it was 1 out of 1. In comparison, I have a better impression of VietTravel, which did not have any delays this time.

It might be just a chance that VietJetAir delayed and Viet Travel was on time, so please consider this just as a reference This may depend on how you view it, but
