【4K絶景】京都嵐山の床紅葉で有名な「祐斎亭」予約方法・アクセスなど見どころもご紹介!嵐山竹林の小径 / 嵐山公園 / 展望台 / 渡月橋! 女子ひとり旅

Hi! Today’s destination is「祐斎亭 Yusai-tei」 is located near Arashiyama, which is famous for its autumn leaves in Kyoto. I also visited 5 other places around the area! We visited Togetsukyo Bridge, Arashiyama’s most famous tourist attraction, the Katsura River that flows nearby, and the famous Arashiyama Bamboo Forest!

You can also walk to Arashiyama Park from 「祐斎亭 Yusai-tei」. There is an observation deck beyond that 🔭 The view of the autumn leaves from there is absolutely spectacular! If you want to go to 「祐斎亭 Yusai-tei」 during the autumn leaves season, you will need to make an online reservation.

When I went in 2022, I made a reservation from the official website. Payment will be made in cash at the reception on the day. Cancellations can also be easily made online. At the end of the program, we introduce the traffic information we visited this time.

I would be happy if you could watch it until the end 😉 Now, let’s get started ! Leaving for Arashiyama Station. Take the train to Arashiyama Station on the Hankyu Arashi-yama Line. It is about an hour and a half from Osaka Umeda Station. The fare is 410 JPY one way.

Normally, you pay inside the Randen train, but when you get off at Arashiyama Station, you pay the fare outside. Aarrived at Arashiyama Station(嵐山駅).! I can see Kimono objects are lined up inside this Station. This is the last station on the Hankyu Arashiyama Line(嵐山線). This is the exterior of Arashiyama Station.

The red and white color is so impressive! There are many shops lined up inside. If you pass through here, you can see tourists riding rickshaws. It has a very Japanese atmosphere^^ To get to Yusai-tei, first exit Arashiyama Station and turn left. And walk straight.

It takes about 19 minutes by walk from this location to Yusai-tei. That’s a lot of walking! You’ll see a traffic light on your right, Then, cross over there. Wow! Look at that!! Arashiyama is now in sight! This is the famous Togetsukyo Bridge (^o^)/

The sound of the murmuring of the river reverberates comfortably ♪ The view of Arashiyama from here is beautifully colored by the autumn leaves 🍁 Why are there so many people lining up at the store?? Oh! It’s Arabica coffee! The main store is located in Gion Higashiyama (祇園東山),

And this seems to be a branch. The Katsura River (桂川) is on the left. You can see the boats which goes down from the Hozu-gawa River to here in Arashiyama. 🛶 Bright red autumn leaves 🍁 We will walk along the river for a while.

I found a doll that looks like a boatman lol It’s miniature and cute ♥ Collaboration between the doll and Arashiyama 🙂 I think “Yusai-tei” is around here, but I guess it hasn’t arrived yet. . . ? There it is! “Yusai-tei” ! I’m going to climb this long staircase.

‘Yusai-tei” is a 150-year-old Meiji-era building located a little further back in Arashiyama that was used as a gallery by the dyeing artist ”Yusai Okuda.” It opened to the public three years ago. Originally called the restaurant ryokan “Chidori,” it was a dream destination for Kyoto’s maikos and geishas.

It is known as the place where the literary giant Yasunari Kawabata wrote ” The Sound of the Mountain,” and you can see the landscape and garden that are woven by nature throughout the four seasons. Hi there! Staff 》 Hi, Let me confirm your reservation?

Staff 》 1 person from 10:30, right? Staff 》We are giving priority to customers who arrive from 10am, Staff 》 so please wait here for a moment. The time I booked is 10:30-11:00 🙂 Let’s wait here for a while! Looks like I can go inside now! There are so many stairs!

Arrived at the entrance! Even though I made a reservation in advance, it’s quite crowded (゚∀゚) Let’s pay here. Staff》 Are you the only person? that’s right. Staff》 Welcome! Staff》 We will charge you 2,000 JPY. Staff》 This is the guide map Staff》 Please look at this map and follow the one-way

Staff》 Welcome to Yusai-tei ~ There is a guide map on the back♪ The room on the left is the room where the literary great Yasunari Kawabata wrote. The tour begins on the left. First, take a plastic bag and put the shoes into the bag. Let’s get in! Staff 》 Please enter here first.

Staff 》Once the farthest seat is available, Staff 》we will ask you to take turns viewing the view from the side in a sliding format. Staff 》Please line up from the back of the room and take photos as you move forward. Staff 》Don’t go in the opposite direction.

This is the room where Yasunari Kawabata (川端康成) used to write. Everyone walks like a crab to view the room. The polished plaster desk reflects the autumn leaves and turns them into art✨ Yasunari Kawabata’s room. Next, I will take a photo from this round table. Taken with the reflection of a round table!

When you gradually lower your gaze, the reflection is very magical ✨ Wow! A view that has not changed since the Heian period 👀? It took about 2 to 3 minutes to take here’s photo? Lol Next , move to the room with the round window (丸窓の部屋). This place is also crowded lol

There is a cute hearted art gallery on the wall ♥ Perhaps Is that person Yusai? I waited for about 10 minutes here lol. Let’s take a look at this room inside more before looking at the round window. Let’s take a picture of the square window ! ✨The square windows are also quite nice✨

This room is said to be used as a tea room. We’re finally going inside. A room with a round window. There were so many people lol It was quite difficult to photograph this room because we had to hurry! Next, we will move to Mizukagami (水鏡), a photo spot with the garden.

Is this a gallery? Staff 》The sound of acorns is amazing, isn’t it? Staff 》The sound of acorns. Is the sound on the ceiling above the sound of acorns falling? Staff 》Please take a look at this kimono. The color of the cloth changes when exposed to light? Staff 》Yes,

Isn’t it indigo dyeing? What kind of thing is it? Staff 》No, Not at all. It’s not indigo dyeing. Staff 》 This is called `Yumekoro-zome” Staff 》Which is a dye that changes with the sunlight, Staff 》and it seems to have existed in the Heian period in 1200 years.

Staff 》 Yusai Okuda saw this and succeeded in reproducing it. Staff 》At that time, it was yarn dyed, staff》 but now we are a workshop that creates different dyes Staff 》that can be mixed well and uses them to create products! Staff 》 Yes.

Staff 》 The color of this scarf also changes like this Staff 》 You can enjoy it yourself by changing the color expression of the scarf. Staff 》 You can enjoy it yourself. It changes depending on the sunlight. .interesting! Are there many people like this every year here?

Staff 》 Oh, you mean the customer? Staff 》 Yes! It’s increasing every year! Staff 》 This place became open for viewing three years ago. Staff 》 Since this place was featured on TV, Staff 》 the number of customers has gradually increased. Staff 》 I feel really sorry for the customers

Staff 》 because we had to give the guests a quick tour of the room. Staff 》 In the first year, We were able to watch it slowly and freely. Staff 》 In the first year, I was able to watch it slowly and freely.

I see ! I wish I had come at that time. Staff 》 But, this year’s autumn leaves are so beautiful! The autumn leaves are red, aren’t they? Staff 》 Yes, The red color is vivid! Staff 》Sometimes the autumn leaves are brown instead of red, Staff 》but this year they are really beautiful.

Staff 》 The autumn leaves along the riverside are also beautiful. Staff 》 Have you been to Kameyama Park behind this place? I was thinking of going later, after this visit. Staff 》Well, Kameyama Park is located above here, Staff 》so you can see the river from the same autumn foliage area.

Staff 》This sight is so beautiful. Staff 》 Also, you can go to the observation deck from Kameyama Park. Is it far away? Staff 》It’s about a 5 minute walk, so it’s not that far. Staff 》 If you go up the hill a little bit,

Staff 》you can see the river on the other side. Staff 》 The autumn leaves on the mountain that you can see there are very beautiful. Staff 》 The mountain itself in Arashiyama is beautiful! Yeah! It’s beautiful! Staff 》Please enjoy your trip! Thanks a lot^^ That’s the terrace seat ^^

Let’s just sit here and enjoy red leaves! The autumn leaves look pink I can see from here! It seems like you can also have tea here for an additional fee. Apparently you can enjoy a relaxing cup of tea on the terrace. It’s a really bright red maple ✨

You can even see the boat going down the river. I can see the boats going down the river. Is this a place where we can take a break anytime? There is also a lap blanket. They are so kind to us!

There are persimmons hanging on the ceiling to dry, so I’m going to take a picture of them ♪ The autumn leaves reflected on the ceiling are so cute ♥ Here I change into my shoes and go outside. There’s a crowd of people outside! This is the photo spot “Mizugami 水鏡”!

It looks like a mirror-like reflection in the water🍁 The sight of symmetrical fluctuations is very stunning. You can make a DIY water mirror (水鏡) here. A variety of tools are available to pore water droplets, and you can create your own original water mirror art♪ Green water mirror ✨ How stylish!

Contrast of red and green 🍁 The building of Yusai-tei is a piece of art in every where ♪ This is what the round window room looks like from the outside! Yusai-tei was really beautiful! I thoroughly enjoyed it! Next, let’s go to Arashiyama Park! I’m going to climb these steep stairs.

When you climb the stairs, you will see such a stunning view☆彡 The autumn leaves are even redder when they are illuminated by the sunlight. Now let’s head to Arashiyama Park and the observation deck! The autumn leaves that have fallen to the ground are amazing. .

Excuse me, Do you know how far it takes to get to the observation deck? Uncle> I guess this the direction. Let’s go this way! Is there the Arashiyaka park on the right? Yes! There it is! The map says Arashiyama Park, but I wonder if this place is called Kameyama Park(亀山公園)?

I can also catch a glimpse of people sitting and eating their lunch boxes. Let’s look for the observation deck! Before that, I want to take pictures of the scenery here! 160mm to the observation deck!? wow! Looks close! People who were climbing in front of me say they wheeze when they climb these stairs….

Will I be able to climb up these stairs? lol It’s getting pretty tough. . It’s only 160mm away, but it’s very painful. …… Just a little more patience! I reached the observation deck! ! Yay! The observation deck of Arashiyama has a wonderful view~✨ seems to be another observation deck further back~

Let’s go there~ Almost there! Arashiyama Observation Deck 2 You can see Senko-in Temple (千光寺) from here. Senko-in Temple Now let’s head to the famous Arashiyama Bamboo Forest path! Using Google Maps and search… Is this right direction? The bamboo forest is around here!

It looks like we have arrived at the bamboo forest where people are heading! There it is! It’s especially crowded here.. . . . . Guide map, guide map. Yes! It says “Arashiyama bamboo forest path”! Moreover, you can reach Arashiyama and the station from here! You can go there in 20 minutes!

What is that? It is prohibited to buy land in this area. A central spot in Arashiyama. A 400m long promenade has been created through the densely grown bamboo, allowing you to enjoy a cool stroll in any season.

This seems to have been a villa area for aristocrats during the Heian period. Tenryuji Temple can be seen on the right! It was built in the 2nd year of the Reki-O era as the family temple of Emperor Go-Daigo. You can see Japan’s first historical site and special scenic spot,

The Chisen Kaiyu style garden and the Sogenchi garden. A power spot famous for being the god of matchmaking and safe childbirth. This temple is located in a bamboo forest path in Arashiyama, Kyoto, and is also featured in The Tale of Genji. This area is where rickshaws pass.

I’m jealous because you can monopolize the bamboo forest on that road 👀 Let’s head towards Arashiyama Station ~ There are so many people that it’s hard to move. . It’s terrible when it comes to this time. . . I’m a little lost (-_-;) I’ll ask the person at the shop

. Thank you very much. I think we’re almost near the station. . . It looks like I’m back around the station♪ I’m curious about the autumn leaves here. A tofu restaurant? It was a maple blooming! I’m back around Randen/Arashiyama Station ♪

Before that, I’m curious about the shop on the right, so let’s take a look! A concept shopping mall with many long-established stores representing Kyoto. Why not visit it as the final conclusion of your Arashiyama stroll? The windmill here is cute ♥ Oh! Isn’t that Nishiri? ? Kyoto’s representative pickle shop “Nishiri”.

Which won the Prime Minister’s Award in 1976 for senmaizuke without the addition of coloring or preservatives, is a long-established shop that preserves the natural color and traditional taste. It’s a store. There are many things to choose from, but I like this Senmaizuke ‘千枚漬け’♪♪ Excuse me,

Please give me senmaizuke ‘千枚漬け’and sansho pickle ‘山椒の漬物’. Staff 》Please put it in the refrigerator tonight! Sure! I got it! Staff 》 The total will be 1450 yen. I would like to pay with PayPal. Thank you. Staff 》Thank you.

It’s getting crowded in here, so I guess it’s time to go home now 🙂 My Arashiyama trip ends here! Here we will introduce how to get from Osaka to Yusai-tei ‘祐斎亭’. Take the Hankyu Kyoto Line from Osaka Umeda Station to Katsura Station.

Then, at Katsura Station, transfer to the Hankyu Arashiyama Line and go to Arashiyama Station. Once you get off at Arashiyama Station, you will arrive at your destination, Yusai-tei, in about 19 minutes on foot. The journey takes about an hour and a half one way and costs 410 yen.

Next time, we will be introducing Katsuo-dera, a Daruma temple in Minoh that is currently popular. We went there by bus during the autumn leaves, where we can see Katsuo-dera ‘勝尾寺’ and Minoh Otaki ‘箕面の大滝’ ! I’m making a video of it, so please look forward to it ♪

Thank you very much for watching! I hope this video is helpful, and if you leave a comment, it will be encouraging me♥ See you again in the next video! Bye ~ (*^^*)
