오카야마 고라쿠엔과 구라시키 미관지구, 당일치기 기차 여행 【일본 다카마쓰 3편】
6 AM, Takamatsu in Japan Today’s trip begins on the third day of our trip to Takamatsu, Japan. hello. Today I’m going from Takamatsu to Okayama and Kurashiki. Take the Kotoden train and head to Takamatsu Station. Depart from Takamatsu Station at 6:46 a.m. by Marine Liner train.
Cute Anpanman trash can. It’s early in the morning, so the lunch box stores are closed, so I buy melon bread and green tea and board the train . This train crosses the railroad tracks over the sea and enters Okayama Station. It passes over the Seto Bridge, which connects Kagawa Prefecture and Okayama Prefecture.
Arrival at Okayama Station The reason I came to Okayama was to see Okayama Korakuen and Okayama Castle, one of Japan’s three major gardens. We will travel on cute little Okayama trams. You can feel the unique retro atmosphere of Japan seen in Japanese comics.
Before going to Korakuen, I plan to go to San Marco Cafe to fill my stomach. The trams have different colors for each route. The interior of the ride is also very cute when you use your Suica card . Departure San Marco Cafe
This is a Japanese cafe that I often visit because I like chocolate crust, and they also sell bread in the morning. I soothe my stomach with chocolate crust coffee and bread. Now that I’ve warmed up my body and filled my stomach, I’ll go again. Head to Okayama Castle first.
You can see cute Japanese scenery along the way, and needless to say, the streets are really clean. It was nice to be able to feel the quiet and relaxed atmosphere thanks to leaving early in the morning . If you cross the bridge and go up a little, you will see Okayama Castle.
It was amazing to see a black castle that I had never seen before in Japan. Because of its appearance, it is also called Crow Castle. Admission fee is 400 yen per person. After just looking at the exterior, we head to Okayama Korakuen. There is Tsukimi Bridge that connects Okayama Castle and Korakuen.
You can see a different side of Okayama Castle from here. Locals at Tsukimi Bridge on the Asahi River are enjoying fishing. One of Japan’s three major gardens, Okayama Korakuen, I entered through the south gate. Admission fee is 410 yen per person.
There are many people out on the vast lawn even in the morning. Now, take a look at Okayama Korakuen, one of Japan’s three major gardens. There is also an observatory where you can take in the scenery at a glance. It’s a beautiful park.
However, it is difficult to avoid the sun in the middle of the park, so prepare an umbrella in the summer. It was nice to see the grandfather and granddaughter. I ordered peach ice cream at the store near the exit. Take a walk around the park and try it.
While I was enjoying my meal, a shower suddenly hit me. After the showers subsided a little, we headed to Maison Kitsune Cafe. Maison Kitsune Cafe There are stone chairs and some outdoor seating, and since there are no tables, I was able to focus entirely on the taste of the coffee.
Espresso and Maison Kitsune Cookie I planned on omelet rice for lunch today, but the wait was too long so I gave up and went to the Okayama Station food court. Coincidentally, there was a store that sold omelet rice, so I decided to go there.
I ordered hamburger steak and omurice, but the omurice wasn’t anything special. The hamburger steak was really delicious. Kurashiki Station After filling my stomach, I came to Kurashiki. Let’s head straight to the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter. You can get there through the shopping street, and there are many famous restaurants inside.
I also saw a restaurant to go to for dinner. Now we have officially entered the Kurashiki Bikan District. It feels a bit like Insa-dong in Korea and Kyoto in Japan. There are willow trees on both sides of the canal, and there is a long shopping street next to them.
You can also take a boat ride on the Ohara Museum of Art canal. Kurashiki is famous for denim and peaches. There are many denim clothing stores and peach dessert cafes nearby. There are many good places to take pictures in the alleys, so wander around every nook and cranny. It’s such a pretty area.
Walk slowly and with a relaxed mind. You will see many beautiful scenes. I guess there is a culture of hitting people on the head with a fan. After looking around the Peach Parfait Bikan District, I will go to Ario Kurashiki Shopping Mall. Ario Kurashiki Tonkatsu Kappa I ordered Hiregatsu and Losu Katsu.
I quench my thirst with a highball and beer before the food comes out. Hirekatsu Rosukatsu is a restaurant I highly recommend so much that I will definitely go back if I come to this area again. The portion is so large that you can fill your mouth with soft and thick meat.
When you come to Takamatsu, try a day trip to Okayama and Kurashiki. If you enjoyed it, please subscribe.
