【4K HDR🇯🇵】One of the best power spots in Yokohama, Iseyama Kotai Jingu [1st shrine visit of the NY]

Happy New Year! In this issue, I would like to introduce Hatsumode at Iseyama Kotai Jingu Shrine It was around 5:30 p.m. on January 1, the sun was setting and it was getting dark

The New Year’s opening hours are from 6:00 a.m. on the day before New Year’s Day to 8:00 p.m. on the same day, and from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the 2nd and the 3rd Climbing the grand staircase of the main approach to the precincts of Iseyama Kotai Jingu Shrine

Lots of lanterns are beautifully lit There was already a line of people waiting to enter the shrine from under the Otorii (Grand Gate) The entrance to Iseyama Imperial Shrine was restricted and visitors were allowed to enter the grounds in stages

We could advance about 10 meters, then wait for a few minutes again, and repeat… At first I was prepared for a long traffic jam, but it took about 15 minutes to pass through the torii gate in front of the main shrine The lanterns with “Iseyama Kotai Jingu Shrine” written on them were eye-catching

Known as the “Ise Shrine of Kanto”, the Iseyama Kotai Jingu Shrine is one of the most famous power spots in Yokohama The reason for this is that this shrine was built as a shrine of Ise Jingu Shrine, and like Ise Jingu Shrine, it is dedicated to Amaterasu Omikami (Goddess of the Sun)

Iseyama Kotai Jingu Shrine is also known as a shrine for prayers for success in school After climbing the grand staircase, the main hall is in front of the shrine, where visitors make money offerings and pray for the New Year This is the most crowded place in the precincts of the shrine

On the left side of the shrine grounds, visitors can buy charms, amulets, and other items Amaterasu, the sun goddess who illuminates all things, is worshipped at the Iseyama Imperial Shrine and is said to bring many blessings

Therefore, we offer a variety of good luck charms for health, schoolwork, childbirth, victory, substitute, traffic safety, etc. The eaves of the temple are decorated with pictures of this year’s Chinese zodiac sign, the dragon An ema (votive tablet) and omikuji (fortune) telling place are located in the back of the shrine

I would like to draw a fortune to predict my luck for the New Year While I was looking around the temple grounds at around 5:40 p.m., part of the omikuji place was closed, so I proceeded to the back of the temple grounds This fortune slip is 200 yen per one time

I rarely get a big fortune I’m always nervous until I open it… What a great luck! I could have tied the omikuji at the omikuji knotting place, but I wanted to look back at the words of the omikuji carefully, so I did not tie it and took it home

The Omikuji tying station was packed with many Omikuji! In addition to the fortune, this omikuji also comes with an extra small amulet! There are a total of 12 kinds of good luck charms, including beckoning cats, turtles, and frogs

I received a “ichibu ten thousand times the amount (momi). I will wear it always so that I will have good luck with money! When you visit the Iseyama Kotai Jingu Shrine, please try to draw a fortune slip! Miko (shrine maiden) paying homage to the Kizuki-no-miya Shrine Their movements are very beautiful!

As you can see, there is a long line of people waiting to enter the main shrine However, the temple grounds are relatively uncrowded at this time of day on New Year’s Day Thanks to the restricted entrance, the precincts are not so crowded

You can return to the shrine from either the left or right side, but if you want to enjoy the stalls, choose the right side of the shrine (left side of the screen) Yokohama Landmark Tower can be seen from the temple grounds A view typical of Yokohama

Because of the long line of visitors to the main shrine, it is not possible to cross the precincts of the shrine, so you will have to go around Heading for the stalls in the precincts of the shrine

You can also draw a fortune slip near the shrine office on the right side of the precincts Slowly descending a slightly steep slope Memorial Hall of Iseyama Kotai Jingu Shrine In front of the lobby of the memorial hall, there were stalls ring toss and breaking balloons It’s kind of a festival atmosphere!

Heading toward the parking lot Further down the hill, delicious-looking stalls line the street Kebabs and frankfurters are for sale, and the smell is appetizing! The stalls will be open until January 3 The road in front of Iseyama Kotai Jingu Shrine is also lined with many stalls

The Yokohama Landmark Tower stands tall in front of the street This road is closed to traffic until 6:00 p.m., allowing visitors to walk on a vehicle-free road Traffic restrictions will be lifted at 6:00 p.m. If you want to enjoy the stalls, it would be better to visit the shrine before 6:00 p.m.

From here, it is a leisurely walk back to JR Sakuragicho Station It takes about 10 minutes from JR Sakuragi-cho Station to Iseyama Kotai Jingu Shrine on foot Turn right at the Momiji-zaka slope Once you reach Momiji-zaka, the Yokohama Landmark Tower is right in front of you

JR Negishi Line train runs on the overpass in front of you JR Sakuragi-cho station is in sight This time, I introduced the Hatsumode at Iseyama Kotai Jingu Shrine, one of the most famous power spots in Yokohama I hope this video will bring you good luck!
