대한민국철도의 총본산 대전역의 볼거리 (feat. 지탄역)

Let’s go!! Where?? Jochiwon Station?? A huge station used by 13 million people annually A train station called Seoul Station in Daejeon Let’s take the train to Daejeon Station, the headquarters of the Korea Railroad Corporation. Let’s go now~~ Today we start at Daejeon Station on the Gyeongbu Line.

The twin towers stand out right next to Daejeon Station. This is the headquarters of the Korea Railroad Corporation and the headquarters of the National Railroad Corporation. The construction address is also displayed here on the Let’s Korail website. And Daejeon Station is located right next to the twin buildings.

As it is nicknamed Daejeon’s Seoul Station, the station building is also very large. When you enter the waiting room at Daejeon Station, it feels similar to Seoul Station. As it is the headquarters station of Daejeon and Chungcheong region, its scale is enormous.

Daejeon Station has the third highest usage rate after Seoul Station and Dongdaegu Station. At Daejeon Station, you can also transfer to the subway like at Seoul Station. If you go to Exit 4 from Daejeon Station, you will see the entrance to the Daejeon subway.

When you leave Daejeon Station, the entrance to the Daejeon subway is right in front of you. Then, shall we take a look at the Daejeon subway?? Civil service information system guide located next to the Daejeon subway ticket gate. This is Daejeon Metropolitan City’s civil complaint information system Nuriview.

Daejeon subway ticket gate (if you take a picture of it, you will hear a bird sound) There is also a train like this on the outer passage of the Daejeon subway. The entrance leading to the Daejeon Station underground shopping mall is decorated like this. Daejeon Station is the 3rd largest in the country.

The underground shopping mall at Daejeon Station was also much larger than I expected. There is no difference in scale from the underground shopping malls in metropolitan Seoul. I can do some shopping while waiting for the train at Daejeon Station~

When you leave the Daejeon Station underground shopping mall, you will find Daejeon Traditional Market. I came to Daejeon Station briefly to transfer trains. There are many places to shop at Daejeon Station while waiting for the train.

On the other side of the market, the Daejeon headquarters building of the Korea Railroad Corporation can be seen at a glance. City tour buses also run in front of Daejeon Station, making it convenient for sightseeing. You can also see Kumsuni, the symbol of the 1993 Daejeon Expo.

There is still 1 hour left until the train departs from Daejeon Station. I went around the Daejeon Station subway, underground shopping mall, and traditional market for an hour. After turning around like this, it was already time for the train to depart. The train we need to take is the Mugunghwa bound for Busan.

If you are going to Busan, will you go to Busan Station?? no. I stayed at Daejeon Station because of a transfer. I plan to get off at a rather unusual station today. It’s an unusual station, so I’m really curious what station it is.

After a while, you will know which station you are getting off at. wow~ yes?? Jitan Station, where the train only runs once a day??? That’s right! I will introduce what Jitan Station looks like next Saturday~ Please look forward to the scenery at Jitan Station on the Gyeongbu Line next week~~
