Takaoka Daibutsu Aikura Gassho-Zukuri Village Shirakawa-go BGM and subtitles sometimes drone Toyama City Inn Annex hotel keruha Hi, this is Teppan DC. If the hotel has an elevator, you can rent a dolly. Loading luggage is so much easier and better!

Going back and forth up and down the stairs is a pain in the ass! Accommodations without elevators are inexpensive, though! Even meeting with various inns is fun! Okay, here’s today’s schedule First, Takaoka Daibutsu, one of the three great Buddha statues in Japan. Ainokura Gassho-Zukuri Village, Shirakawa-go, Hamakurozaki Campground

Last time we announced that we would be going from Toyama Prefecture to Gifu Prefecture But in the end, the route was to return to Toyama Prefecture. Twenty-three days after our departure, it’s time to move on. Caution ahead! Occasional near-misses One of my main goals this time is to enjoy Hokkaido to the fullest!

With this in mind, I decided that I had to get a move on! I couldn’t find a suitable place to stay. While I’m rambling on, we’ve arrived at Takaoka Daibutsu (Great Buddha). I park my bike as close to the edge as possible so as not to get in the way.

Takaoka Daibutsu (Great Buddha) Takaoka Daibutsu, a 16-meter-high seated statue of Amida Nyorai Built in 1933 Locals call it “Dabutsan” with respect Not sure if this is true? They say it was destroyed by fire several times but was rebuilt The face of the temple has a gentle, enveloping look to it.

You can enter the pedestal. Free. Inside the pedestal is a corridor Thirteen Buddhist paintings, including a picture of hell, were displayed on the wall. I had a peaceful time with my visit to the temple. Two of the three great buddhas of Japan are in Nara and Kamakura

The other one seems to have candidates other than the Great Buddha of Takaoka Gifu Daibutsu(Shoboji), Tokyo Daibutsu(Nyorenji), Hyogo Daibutsu (Nyofukuji Temple) are the other candidates for Japan’s three great Buddha statues. Located in the city, but a calm place Now let’s depart I was never interested in Buddhist statues.

After seeing the seated statue of Amida Nyorai in the Byodo-in Phoenix Hall I suddenly became interested in it. I’ve never had such a complete change in my thinking Not much of a love at first sight kind of guy That’s why he left such a strong impression on me.

I felt like I found a reason to continue my journey! Gassho-zukuri buildings come into view. Parking fee is 100 yen for motorcycles, admission is free Bicycle parking space is also reserved, thank goodness Even on weekdays, there are a lot of cars there. Aikura Gassho-Zukuri Village

This is the first time I’ve seen Gassho-Zukuri houses As a Kyushu native, I can’t imagine a region with heavy snowfall! But it is a nostalgic and beautiful Japanese landscape. I hope people from overseas will be comforted by it. The prototype of the Gassho-zukuri house, “Gensho-Gassho”. Gassho-zukuri houses standing about 100-350 years old

A precious and beautiful village that preserves its historical scenery. The thatched houses, called “gassho-zukuri,” are A very rare form of private house found only in this neighborhood There are 20 gassho-zukuri houses still in existence here Gokayama’s only remaining prototype of the Gassho-zukuri style, the primitive Gassho-zukuri

Gassho-zukuri houses of all sizes and thatched temples Songs of Prince Akishino It is now noon, so we will have lunch Gokayama tochimochi (baked cake) Tsukimi soba I prefer soba to udon. I am entering Gifu Prefecture from Toyama Prefecture. Next, we continue to Shirakawa-go, another gassho-zukuri village.

As I said, this one is larger in scale. Tourist buses are lined up in a row. Crossing the bridge toward the village. Deai bridge, 107m long Shirakawa-go Shirakawa-go, also famous as a World Heritage site This gassho-zukuri village with its original Japanese landscape

Selected as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings in 1976 Furthermore, in 1995, together with Gokayama (Toyama Prefecture) Shirakawa-go and Gokayama as a gassho-zukuri village. registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (cultural heritage) In recent years, it has gained recognition as a World Heritage Site

In addition, the improvement of the transportation network has brought many tourists from home and abroad many tourists visit every year. There was also a private house that could be toured inside for a fee. I did not take a tour of the interior because it seemed rather expensive.

Shirakawa Village is a farming and mountain village area surrounded by mountains While summers are cool and comfortable, winters are covered with snow Covered in snow, Shirakawa-go is like another world. In February, snowfall can reach 200 centimeters or more

The ancestral people of Shirakawa-go have made good use of this climate have made good use of this climate. Gassho-zukuri, a thatched-roof structure designed to withstand the heavy snowfalls of winter. Now we go to a place where we can see the whole of Shirakawa-go

This is not a place where you can fly a drone It doesn’t look like it’s too far to go on foot There is no space to park bicycles, so I park at the end of the street View from near parking lot Shiroyama castle tower observation deck

It was a spiritual home where visitors could feel that they had come to a place to which they should return. It was a spiritual home where visitors could feel as if they had come to a place to which they should return. A village that looks like something out of an old Japanese story

The original landscape of Japan soothed my heart Even an ordinary landscape feels special. My stay in Gifu Prefecture was a short one I would like to head back to Toyama Prefecture, where we will be staying again We are now back in Toyama Prefecture And then we’re back in Gifu Prefecture

National highway 156 Echibi Bridge Entering Toyama Prefecture again So again, we’re driving for a while National highway 156 Naride bridge Yes, entering Gifu Prefecture again National highway 156 Koshirakawa bridge Yes, Toyama prefecture again At this distance of only a few hundred meters Gifu Prefecture again National highway 156 Hi-no-kawahara-bashi bridge Last, Toyama Pref.

Sign indicating that the border crossing section ends here You seem to be aware of the fact that the prefectural border is crossed. The terrain is steep in this section, and the border between Gifu and Toyama is very steep.

It seems to have crossed the prefectural border seven times and bumped through the national road in the shortest distance Here in the Kaminashi area, the ancient folk song “Kokiriko” has been passed down through the generations and the area is called “Kokiriko no Sato”. and is called “Kokiriko no Sato” (village of Kokiriko).

Hakusan Shrine, the oldest wooden structure in the prefecture Sasara Arch” with “Kokiriko-no-Sato” written on it. 1.
