Hello, this is Comtra!! This video is about the second day of our trip to Okinawa. On this day, I met up with a friend in the morning and joined a tour. We’ll be riding a sightseeing bus and visiting Okinawa’s major tourist spots in one day!

We left Naha city around 8 am and returned around 6:30 pm. I was considering renting a car, but chose the tour because it was cheaper and easier. It turned out to be a great decision!! So, today’s destination is here!! We’ll start from Naha city🚌 First, “Nago Pineapple Park”🍍 Next is “Kouri Island”

Then, “Warumi Bridge” Okinawa’s most famous tourist destination “Churaumi Aquarium” Famous for its purple sweet potato tarts, “Okinashi Goten” Beautiful sunset at “Manzamo” Lastly, dinner at Kokusai Street. Enjoy the main episode!! We depart from Kenmin Hiroba on the bus🚌 I found this tour on a booking site called Klook. The fee is 7,000 yen.

This machine provides multilingual guides for tourist spots. The first destination is “Nago Pineapple Park”🍍 It’s about an hour and a half drive from Naha city🚌 Let’s go!! There are multiple bus pickup points, and you can choose your preferred one. The bus quickly gets on the expressway and progresses. Arriving at our first destination🚌

“Nago Pineapple Park”🍍 Let’s go inside the park. Entrance fees for tourist spots are all included in the tour price. Tickets are purchased by the tour guide, so it’s hassle-free. Here at Pineapple Park, you can see pineapple fields and plants growing like in a jungle.

It felt more like a botanical garden than a pineapple orchard (laugh). First, we take a leisurely tour around the park on this electric cart. By the way, it’s self-driving, so no need to worry about driving. Typical Okinawa, full of unfamiliar plants. I thought the grass was just overgrown, but… What!? Look closely…

Mini pineapples!🍍 I almost missed them because they’re so inconspicuous (laugh) Next, we move indoors. Here you can see many tropical plants. It’s like a jungle. Next, we walk around the park. Along the way, there are souvenir shops and ice cream for sale. There’s also an aerial walkway. What kind of flower is this?

There are also dinosaurs in the park. Just hatched? No smoking in the park. This is the souvenir shop area. Pineapple juice was also available. Pineapple curry!? Cute pineapple dolls. So, which pineapple is the ripest? The correct answer is the middle one. I thought it was the one on the far right..

Through the corridor, into a very stylish space. Pine vinegar!? Since there’s a tasting available, let’s try some. Well, the taste is,, refreshing and delicious!! I could also taste Shikuwasa. You can buy pineapples in the park. Here is sugarcane. Decorative mini pineapples. Island Mozuku is also available for tasting.

This Mozuku soup was really delicious. There are several souvenir shops in the park. The park is large, but there’s no getting lost as you follow the paths. Quick restroom break,, Pineapples even here!! Alright, let’s move to the next destination. Next destination is “Kouri Island” It’s about a 30-minute drive from Pineapple Park.

Arrived at the Kouri Island Bridge, leading to Kouri Island. The sea is incredibly beautiful. I’d like to try jet skiing in this sea. Arrived at Kouri Island station “Sorahashi”. Stay time is about 30 minutes. Off to the beach! Wow. Beautiful. White sand and clear water!

The location is right next to the bridge we just crossed. Lucky with the nice weather. The sky is blue. Coral. Nice sound! “Sorahashi” feels like a road station with a food court. The name “Sorahashi” is cute, isn’t it? Mozuku seaweed looks delicious. There are lots of other Okinawan items too.

There are various delicious-looking things, but it’s still early for lunch, so we’ll move to the next destination. Next destination is “Warumi Bridge” (from the car window) About 10 minutes from Kouri Island. Returning over the same Kouri Bridge we came from. This bridge is also quite beautiful. “Warumi Bridge” The sea is blue…

Finally heading to “Churaumi Aquarium”. About 20 minutes from Warumi Bridge. I learned for the first time that, Churaumi Aquarium is located inside a park called Ocean Expo Park. The park also has a botanical garden, a planetarium, and a beach. A vending machine with only “Aquarium Original Cider”. “Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium”

First, the dolphin show. Skipping the aquarium entrance. Heading to the outdoor dolphin pool. The sea is beautiful here too. There are food trucks inside the park. Lunch is not included in the tour, so I might have lunch around here. After looking around, decided to eat taco rice. Can’t miss the Churaumi Cider.

With a satisfied stomach, now off to watch the dolphin show. Introducing the members. This show is free! So generous. Next are the turtles. This is also free. You can watch the turtles swim from the side. So close. Finally entering the aquarium. A tank replicating shallow waters.

I think I was able to touch them last time I came… The sea of coral. A tropical, colorful, and bright sea. Shrimps like those I saw in a Vietnamese market… Now, creatures from deeper seas? There are garden eels too. They are fighting.. And finally… Huge.

Just in time to see the cleaners, which shows how big it is! The tank is huge too. The tank has a glass thickness of 60cm, depth of 10m, width of 35m, length of 27m. Round eyes with a sharp mouth. An indescribable unique form and color. Swimming leisurely with remoras attached!

Total length 8.8m, the longest breeding record in the world is 28 years! The only named resident of Churaumi Aquarium. Its name is “Jinta”. Previously, there were three whale sharks here, but, due to collisions between sharks, one was moved to a sea cage offshore, and another passed away..

Specimen of a Great White Shark embryo. Live sharks. Specimen of a Giant Squid. Wow, so many interesting things. Found gelato made with Okinawan ingredients. Mango and Strawberry Milk. Eating a lot during the trip. The final stop is the Manatee Pavilion. Cute with its smooth form.

As time is running out, we head back to the bus. We head south along the coast towards Okashi Goten. At Okashi Goten, you can buy the very popular Beni-imo tart, a famous Okinawan souvenir. Okashi Goten, Onna store. Not just sweets, but intriguing T-shirts too. When you’re here, definitely try this fresh Beni-imo tart.

Delicious! The final destination is Manzamo. It’s just past 5 PM. Already evening. We walk through the shop and proceed to the back. Recently, such tourist spots are quite common. “Manzamo,” meaning a field large enough to seat ten thousand people. “Mo” refers to a field. It was so praised by the former Ryukyu King,

And thus the name “Manzamo” was given. “Manzamo” This place is on the west side of the island, famous for its sunsets. Many people are watching the sunset. The sea looks more beautiful during the day, maybe? But, it’s a very nice atmosphere. After finishing the tour, we head towards Kokusai Dori.

It’s varied and interesting. That said, I’m getting hungry… We enter a promising izakaya. Sea grapes. Mozuku tempura. Rafute. Pork egg. Soki yakisoba. Fresh mozuku. A fun and delicious day, fully enjoying Okinawa!
