Take a look inside #CanonExplorerOfLight @onnevanderwals’s gear bag!
“I specialize in yacht, boat, and ship photography so I end up shooting yacht races, travel expeditions in the high latitudes plus advertising for the boat builders and the manufacturers of nautical gear that the boaters need like sails, engines, ropes, shackles, and boating apparel.
I have completely switched over to the Canon mirrorless EOS R system with three EOS R5 cameras and RF lenses. I love the shape and size of these smaller bodies yet the quality is outstanding. The compact size and light weight of these cameras are important for me especially on assignments that require air travel and longer exploratory walks and hikes. On these hiking assignments, I carry a single EOS R5 body, three lenses (with a range of 15-500mm) from the RF15-35mm F2.8L IS USM, RF24-70mm F2.8L IS USM and the RF100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM in the compact Mindshift Photocross 13 shoulder sling bag. For the exploratory/travel assignments that take me on a boat or kayak where it can get wet and bumpy, I use the SKB #31-1510-6DL waterproof camera box with padded interior dividers.”
