As in this case, as I was looking for a place to photograph Croatian Photographer @lana.polic in Joshua Tree, CA. I couldn’t help but notice the very cool graphic shadows the backrest of some chairs outside made. I decided that if these graphic shadows got my attention, they would make a great visual impact on a photograph. I positioned Lana on the floor nicely centered on the oval shadow shape and posed her with her hand over one of her eyes. This pose with the hand covering one eye adds a little bit of mystery to her face making the photo a bit more interesting. On your next shoot, look around with an open mind, the most mundane objects might just give you the best unexpected results!”
