This image was actually taken in my kitchen where I placed the moth on some ponderosa bark that I had collected for the occasion. Using the light coming in from windows to the right and behind as well as a soft lightbox. The key to having everything in focus is to use a tripod, also aperture great enough to keep both the moth and bark in focus and making sure that the wings are parallel to the back of the camera.”
