It was an image that I have tried many times before but never was successful until this piece. While photographing trains has become easier with practice, I still think most people would be surprised at how many times I have to attempt an image before I am satisfied with it. The ironic part is that the trials and failures of some images in my train series have led to the successes of other parts of the collection. There is no such thing as a bad image, as long as you learn from it.”
