Photo by #CanonExplorerOfLight @larettahouston: “There is beauty in everyone and playing with light patterns gives a picture a more unique look that will catch anyone’s eye. Some of my best photos are the ones that are done in a studio with nothing planned but to photograph strong work.

This is one of the rare times I decided at the last minute to photograph beauty and work with light and pattern. Here I placed a Gobo on a strobe at a 45-degree angle but close to the model and feathered a 40” Octabox to light the model and the background. I also wanted to make sure that I adjusted the pattern to have the biggest star to her eye just right. I am very happy with this image as I can see that it would work as part of a beauty campaign, magazine editorial, or even a possible artist CD cover.”
