I was photographing flying Great Blue Herons and Anhingas at the Venice Rookery when a flock of Whistling Ducks suddenly burst into flight beyond the far shoreline, causing me to look upward just as this American symbol came gliding right toward our cameras for a great photo opportunity. The EOS R5’s eye-tracking yielded spot-on focus on every frame.”
