I made this mistake before while hiking through the jungle in Jamaica. We reached a turquoise blue waterfall with jumping spots, swing ropes, underwater caves, yet, I didn’t have any of the right equipment to capture the action.
This time in a new country, Costa Rica, I found myself deep in even wilder jungly hills with a pack of wild boys trekking to waterfalls yet again. We pushed through the thick humid air until the trees parted and we could see the powerful force of the towering waterfalls. This time equipped with rugged and waterproof gear I was able to capture every jump and withstand the force of this natural beauty.
Thanks to @mpbcom I was able to get everything I needed by selling some of the portrait photography gear I no longer needed. I unloaded 2 lenses and a 35mm camera. I bought a couple of action cameras and a few accessories and attachments to make every jump worth the risk 🙂
