Photo by @krisannejohnson: “This image of Samkelo was taken at her home in the Kingdom of Eswatini during my long-term project photographing young women coming of age. Samkelo had just finished her daily chores and as she chatted with a friend she rested her head against the door. The light poured through beautifully to elevate an intimate moment. I often only use my EF 28mm f/1.8 USM lens while working in these documentary settings so I can move fast, keep my gear small, and for a bit of room within my frame.
