Photo by #CanonExplorerOfLight @stephsinclairpix: “I saw this breathtaking landscape while leaving Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, while on our way to photograph eye clinics around the country. The African nation has worked hard to overcome poverty, war and other development challenges and prides itself on making health care accessible to all those in need. Vision care was the missing component to its health care plan until the Rwandan government brought in the international charity OneSight to deliver a sustainable and permanent vision care solution to the country’s citizens. OneSight opened the first vision center in Rwanda in 2015 and to date they’ve established 15 vision centers and 1 manufacturing lab, created over 50 jobs, and funding numerous scholarships to ensure a pipeline of future optometrists. This photograph was made with a Canon EOS R camera and an RF24–105mm F4 L IS USM lens. I had it set on Aperture-priority, with a 1/40th of a second shutter speed at f/4. Due to the low light, the ISO was set at 400.”

Ciao, Nihon.
