I was already a big fan of the EF version of this macro lens, but the new native RF version really takes things to a new level. This lens has a brand-new feature called the ‘SA’ control ring, which allowed me to control the spherical aberration. When moving the SA control ring to different plus or minus levels, I was able to expand my creativity and apply unique optical effects. Moving the SA control ring changed the look and feel of the bokeh and also provided a dreamy soft-focus effect.”
