“Using gels and a cool white balance allows me to create images that are colorful and appear almost kissed by moonlight. This shot was lit with two strobes — one in a ‘short light’ position on her face and another with a blue gel in the front of the subject to illuminate the shadows. Did you notice I used a star filter? Can you see the twinkle on her tiara? Using a star filter with reflections or point light sources creates this fun, fairytale starburst you see subtly in this shot!”
