What makes or breaks a polo shirt are the collars and the sleeves. Wash after wash, the sharp lines give way. We decided to swap the thread used in these areas with fabric woven using air pressure to prevent lint fluff and double-layered the button strip to boost durability. This makes them incredibly versatile, able to be styled alone casually or paired it with a blazer for a more formal look.

第一印象は、糸がつくる。

ポロシャツの鍵は、襟と袖だ。洗濯するうちに型が崩れると、着る人の印象までも崩れてしまう。ユニクロは、素材で答える。襟と袖に使う糸を変えた。空気圧を利用して編みあげた糸は、表面の細かな繊維を内部に巻きこみ、毛羽立ちにくい。耐久性も高くなる。工夫は他にもある。ボタン周りの生地は二枚仕立てで、より丈夫にした。ベーシックに1枚で着る、フォーマルにジャケットと合わせる。その両方が美しく見える設計。襟が決まると、ポロシャツは決まる。
