“For this shot I was inspired by the look of old fine art renaissance portrait paintings, I knew I wanted to stay true to my usual use of bold colors and I had been obsessing with the color red lately so I went with a color palette of red and green to create contrast. I added the flowers as a prop to add a little bit of romantic flair. The shot was lit with a 36inch gridded octabox placed at a 45 degree angle from subject slightly angled down to create Rembrandt light usually found on old portraits. For fill I placed a shoot through umbrella across the main light behind the model to act as fill and create a rim light on the right side of the subject.” #MyCanonStory
