Harajuku to Kyoto: Tokyo’s Wildest Street, Meiji Shrine & Bullet Train
Tokyo to Kyoto travel day in Japan! 🇯🇵 In this vlog, we check out from our Tokyo hotel, leave our luggage at the hotel, and spend our last few hours exploring the Harajuku area before catching the Shinkansen bullet train to Kyoto.
We start the day around Harajuku and Takeshita Street, checking out fun shops, Tokyo street vibes, cute Japanese stores, photo booths, Smiski collectibles, and even spotting a Harry Potter Store in Harajuku. Later, we visit a cute Peanuts/Snoopy Cafe, collect another Japan travel stamp, and head to the peaceful Meiji Shrine surrounded by beautiful forest paths and traditional Japanese architecture.
After exploring Tokyo, we make our way back to pick up our luggage and head to Tokyo Station for our Shinkansen journey to Kyoto. I also share useful travel tips about booking Shinkansen tickets, reserved seats, oversized luggage space, and what the bullet train experience is like in Japan. The vlog ends with our arrival in Kyoto and a quick room tour of our APA Hotel.
