  1. Thank you for this amazing and informative video. Can't wait to visit Kinosaki in August for the second time. You have provided some really great tips!

  2. This is my new favorite. The history made it really interesting. Thank you for sharing these videos. These are places I can't visit & being able to watch these videos helps me to see things I would never otherwise see. 😊

  3. I also go there twice before and traffic is so convenient and facilities well done too. I also enjoy the outdoor six pubic hot spring and enjoy the different type hot spring there. So lovely there and will go next time if travel to Kyoto. ❤❤❤❤

  4. Such a wonderful place! The Mikiya Ryokan is so beautiful! ❤ I would love to stay there! The meal also looks very delicious! Thank you for this video! ❤😊

  5. the video is superb as always and the scenery is beautiful, but i would like to say a heartfelt thank you to kataoka-san for instructing us on the history of his ryokan and the town. it truly made the experience more valuable <3

  6. Dang, that was a lot of crab! Actually, I would've not been surprised if they somehow included crab in the dessert due its sweet taste and the fact I saw an episode of the classic Iron Chef where they made a dessert using red snapper.

And now I'm hungry for crab. NOTE TO SELF: Have a meal at Red Lobster later.

Also…wind in the willows, eh? Did you see Mr. Toad?

  8. You go to so many onsen – your skin must be so smooth, I would be surprised if you still had fingerprints. 🤣🤣

  9. Thats a wonderful video, thank you so much for it. I love Ryokans, Onsen, Kaiseki meals, crab, Japanese gardens and history, so that seems like the perfect place for me. I very much enjoyed hearing about the history of the town, the Ryokan, and Naoya Shiga from the owner. As I dont speak Japanese, it was good to hear about it thanks to your video. The crab meal looked absolutely stunning. I love crab, but in Switzerland, you cant get it (or its extremely expensive). The onsen also look really nice, but I think what I like most about the Ryokan, is the garden. So peaceful and relaxing. I wish to sit in that rocking chair, drink some matcha and relax whilst looking into the garden.

  10. 🐰🐰🙏🙏🙏🙏😘😘😘😘🌹🌹🌹🌹💐💐💐💐💕💕💕💖💖💖💖😀😀😀😀😋😋😋😍😍😍😍😍. The crab looked 😋😋😋😋. Thanks for sharing!!!!!!!

  12. Two words: Onsen and CRABS! That dinner is amazing. I totally craved crab after seeing those dishes! Also, the history lesson was very interesting too. And Naoya was right to be sad, onsen nowadays are tourist attractions rather than low-cost stays. It's all about the money now.

P.S. The Japanese garden looked like something straight from a Ghibli movie!

  13. Wow! That crab dinner was so impressive, they really didn't skimp! The dinner and the breakfast are some of the best looking food you've shown on your travels, very luxurious. Thanks for the wonderful video, looks like an amazing place to visit 💜

  14. I love this town, I stayed at Yuraku just a little farther down the street and it was a great time, they had great private baths there that you pick a time for when checking in. I highly recommend people visit this Onsen town, especially if you are like me and have tattoos. No worries at all for the public baths. All of the famous baths are great in different ways.

Edit: also there is an amazing Kaiseki restaurant directly across from the hotel they visited in the video called Sanpou Nishimuraya

  15. It's like that episode of SpongeBob "Wishing you well" where at the last part of the episode is Mr. Krabs yelling at SpongeBob that he doesn't believe in magic and throws a quarter down the Wishing well saying "I wish I was boiled and steamed, and served with a side of melted butter" in order to prove to SpongeBob that magic doesn't exist. But his wish gets granted and he gets eaten by a guy shouting "OH no, I don't believe in magic"

  16. What a cool town to walk around in. The garden at the ryokan is gorgeous! What a peaceful setting. The price in dollars is something I could never do, but fun to wish for. Crab is a favourite of mine, so I watched you enjoy with jealousy in my tummy. Charming stay, thanks for sharing!

🦀🦀🦀 Köszönöm a videot.

  18. I have wondered why there is more than 1 shower in the private baths , I mean if only 1 person at a time why more than 1 ?? I'm not from Japan and would love to know why I'm not trying to be rude in any way I'm simply asking .🤔🤔🤔🤔

  19. Japan is an incredibly beautiful country. I've been there twice, and we will be on an extended cruise in May. Hopefully, we can find and onsen or two than are not priced in the stratosphere. I'm slowly, very slowly, brushing up on my Japanese. My biggest surprise on my first trip was that the language barrier, spoken and written, was not a significant deterrent to visiting! Between Google Translate, and the Japanese propensity for politeness makes for a very comfortable welcome.

  20. Wieder eine sehr schöne , anschauliche Reise. Herzlichen Dank, nette Grüße aus Deutschland.

  22. The history portion of this video made it so much more special.
Beautifully captured and fully immersive video
    Arigato gozaimasu 🙏💜

  23. 6:25 I have strong suspicion that I must bring a book in my language there since I don't know any word in japanese alphabet ! Although I saw few english books. 😉
Also, I must admit the sound of japanese language is beautiful, poetic.

  24. People with arthritis have a small or big problem to hold a fork. I wonder how people with arthritis in Japan can hold these sticks.

  25. I was there 2 weeks ago, visiting from Los Angeles. The various onsens were awesome, food was great and the koi were adorable.

  26. What an amazing town! Such beautiful!

Would you concider it as rural japan?

Thank you for sharing this video!

    Greetings from germany

  27. absolutely gorgeous! I wish I was there. soon will be… your duet captures it beautifully.. must convince my boyfriend. we will be there.
